Blackwood Forest's newly formed team started strong in the first half with Ben A scoring the first 2 goals, and Angus D the third. Unfortunately other team commitments, including some Summer Tennis Grand Final matches, meant that only 11 of the team were available to play the first round. 

The game was evenly poised until half way through the second half when Woodside' superior fitness saw them even the score and take the lead.  The last 5 goals of the match were scored by Woodside in the last 7 minutes against a spent BHS Forest team, resulting in a 9 - 3 full time result for the Blues.
